Every location needs a connection. Not everyone has a good one.

Every business location you operate depends on the internet. That includes established branches and stores, new sites waiting on fiber, rural and remote facilities, job sites and pop-ups, and service teams on the move. It also includes the alarm, elevator, and fire panel lines still running on aging copper. Each one needs a connection that’s live on day one and stays up when it matters.

Wired service doesn’t always keep pace. Fiber can take months to reach a new site, and some locations will never get it at all. As carriers retire copper, legacy phone lines and safety systems are on a deadline. Sites that rely on a single wired connection have a single point of failure, and teams without a fixed address have nothing to wire in the first place.

Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) gives each of those locations a fast, flexible path to business-grade internet, whether as a primary connection, a backup, a bridge, or a replacement. Stratix and AT&T help you put it to work at one site or hundreds.

What is Fixed Wireless Access?

FWA delivers business internet over a cellular network (5G and 4G LTE) instead of a cable in the ground. A router or gateway at your site connects to nearby cell towers, which are themselves connected by fiber. Your devices and applications run through it just as they would on a wired line. You may also hear it called wireless broadband or wireless internet.

How Businesses Use FWA

AT&T offers three Fixed Wireless Access solutions. Stratix helps you choose the right one for each site and handles what it takes to get it running.
