Stratix Cares: Charity and Philanthropy - Stratix

Stratix Cares

Giving Back to the Community

Stratix is committed to playing a positive role in our local community, primarily through employee involvement. Our central focus is education for children and community initiatives that are important to our teammates. We're dedicated to serving our community beyond the workplace, and our fierce passion for that drives us to continue our philanthropic volunteerism year after year.

SAFFT

For the past five years, Stratix has supported SAFFT (Supporting Adoption & Foster Families Together) by collecting gifts each holiday season for the families it supports. Last holiday season, Stratix employees collected over 400 toys and items through our annual toy drive for children in foster care.

SAFFT has created an environment unique in Georgia to protect society's most neglected and abused children in foster care. These children are served through the SAFFT Family Life Center that provides family and sibling visitations, a clothing and resource closet, scholarships, and a powerful life skills and mentoring program that builds them up.  This organization was started by a past Stratix teammate! Local School Drives

During the month of July, Stratix teammates have worked with The Children's Restoration Network (CRN) and the largest school district in Georgia, Gwinnett County’s Fill the Bus program to collect school supplies for children in our community. Each year, CRN works with over 6,000 homeless children to give them the tools they need to succeed and break the cycle of homelessness.

Juneteenth: Equal Justice Initiative

In honor of Juneteenth, Stratix is supporting the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) again by donating to this great cause. We are also encouraging our teammates to contribute by matching their donation dollar for dollar. The EJI is an organization that has committed itself to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, as well as challenging racial injustice and human rights. Georgia Equality

Georgia Equality is dedicated to advocating for fairness, safety, and opportunity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities throughout the state. In honor of Pride Month, Stratix will be donating to the Equality Foundation of Georgia, as well as encouraging our teammates to donate and be matched dollar for dollar by Stratix. Not only does the Equality Foundation of Georgia advocate for fairness, but it also provides educational solutions and voter registration opportunities for the community. Shamrockin’ For a Cure: Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Every Saint Patrick's Day, thousands of people come together in Alpharetta to support the fight against Cystic Fibrosis at the Shamrockin' for a Cure event.

Stratix is proud to join many other companies in our community as a Clover Sponsor. All donations go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for research, drug development, and advancing high-quality, specialized care. To learn more and donate, visit: http://www.shamrockinforacure.com/

Helping Children Learn

Stratix CEO Louis Alterman believes strongly in the importance of education and focuses most of his charity work on helping disadvantaged students get ahead. He's served as chairman of the board at the Ron Clark Academy. The internationally recognized nonprofit middle school in southeast Atlanta features a groundbreaking learning environment that fosters better student engagement, academic excellence, and a positive culture. Louis also serves on the Rackspace Foundation board, which aids nonprofits supporting schools in the San Antonio, Texas area. Louis says nothing empowers individuals and lifts communities like the advantages of a good education, and he wants to see everyone get the opportunity to receive one.
