Position Summary
Leads the daily operations within the Receiving Department to ensure accurate and timely receiving processes with maximum efficiency. Provide coaching assistance to the receiving team members while maintaining all company policies and procedures. Tracks KPI’s of team while identifying opportunities for improving them.
Functional Responsibilities
- Assists warehouse manager with development, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures; ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by warehouse team
- Leads by example and trains, motivates, coaches, rewards, and disciplines crew being supervised
- Coordinates with the warehouse manager to manage personnel issues and requests
- Leads crew by example by unloading trucks and/or performing other duties as necessary
- Maintains a working knowledge of all warehouse operations
- Maintains safety programs and all required safety training for the crew
- Trained in all areas of warehouse operations and is a back-up to other warehouse roles when necessary
- Develops and oversees all KPI’s within the receiving area
- Research/identify root cause for all errors that affect receiving department and recommends/implements changes to ensure the errors do not continue
- Effectively plan daily receiving activities while being flexible to shifting priorities
- Ensure daily requirements and established time sensitive receipts (SLA’s) are completed

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years related warehouse leadership experience or equivalent
- Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices
- Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to perform the physical labor necessary
- Forklift certified or able to become forklift certified
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel
- Prior experience in Oracle a plus, though not required
- Trained and/or overseen new staff members in a warehouse setting
- Performed quality audits
- Have conducted team meetings outlining imperative information to the department
- Must be able to devise own solutions to difficult issues that may arise
- Prior knowledge of bin location system
- Researched transaction history to solve issues and answer questions
- Experience leading a team of 10 or more employees
