Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Customer Ordering Portal Product Manager to join a team dedicated to building customer ordering portals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development of these portals, working with internal teams to gather necessary information, setting priorities, managing timelines, and ensuring customer requirements are met. The Product Manager will also manage relationships with external agencies and vendors, as well as interact with customer to gather requirements and conduct demos. The candidate should have a strong background in eCommerce portal development, strong communication skills, be comfortable leading customer calls and be familiar with project management software tools such as Asana. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving the customer experience by identifying areas of improvement and implementing effective solutions.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing and technology teams to create a seamless set up and onboarding for various deployment and eCommerce sites for customers
  • Run customer workshop sessions to gather requirements for the development of their portals
  • Project manage the development of customer portals working with various internal teams to get the information needed and work with external agencies to project manage the development the portals
  • Owner of the portal project timelines and sets priorities for the order of the projects
  • Keep all the teams updated on the status of projects and risks
  • Participate in customer calls and internal portal calls including kick-off calls for portal projects
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing for new portals
  • Run status calls with our development agency for future enhancements and functionality projects
  • Manage the development resources and give clear directions and guidance on prioritizing the portal projects
  • Run demos for the sales team
  • Answer portal customer questions for sales
  • Interact with our Help Desk to identify what pain points clients are calling about the most and make recommendations for areas of improvements for our portals
  • Look for process improvements and site improvements
  • Create reports and analyze data from Google Analytics and eCommerce system
  • Document all processes
  • Manage existing portals by triaging updates, fixes/bugs, and other requests to developers and other teams (i.e. Oracle)
  • Work with internal teams to consistently maintain current customer portal catalogs and implement new sales portal process improvements
  • Work with marketing to maintain and create necessary collateral to promote portal

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in eCommerce portal development or product management
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with project management software such as Asana
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze data to make informed decisions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and eCommerce platforms preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to improve the customer experience
