Position Summary:

The Strategic Program Manager is responsible for designing, launching, and overseeing go-to-market programs across verticals, partners, and channels. The Strategic Program Manager will align resources cross-functionally in the organization and manage all aspects of the implementation of those programs from conception through and beyond launch to achieve expected business outcomes.

Under the guidance of the Director of the Program Management Office (PMO), this position will be responsible for driving the successful and timely development and delivery of programs executed for growth in recurring revenue services. Working closely with the Marketing, Strategic Alliances Team, Operations, and Sales,  the Strategic Program Manager plans and manages the entire process of set up, implementation, continuous process improvement and measuring program success financials and KPIs across multiple programs.

The ideal candidate will have experience executing on all aspects of building and launching new Mobility Supply Chain and or Lifecycle Management (LCM) programs, is able to look at all programs through an operational and strategic lens and have a proven ability to deliver a high-quality outcome, on time. There is a large focus on product deployments, LCM, and Reverse Logistics (RL) programs. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a track record of working collaboratively in an organization to deliver market-ready programs that delivers results. 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with sales and channel teams to launch go-to-market programs, including but not limited to; solution definition and scope, service delivery documentation and process flows, status reporting, testing, risks and issues management and reporting, stakeholder engagement and reporting, other routines and artifacts as required in order to control the program.
  • Defines and implements governance and controls across the program.
  • Create the foundation for the program to be successful by proactively making recommendations and generating innovative ideas as the program is created, tested, and launched.      
  • Continuous improvement – employing Voice of the Customer, Voice of the Partner, service delivery knowledge and problem-solving skills, to continuously drive and implement programmatic changes through a change management process.
  • Monitors and manages the program KPIs, financial metrics, customer satisfaction, quality and profitability and adjusts to maximize program value.
  • Develops regular meeting cadence with stakeholders to discuss program status and goals.
  • Performs internal and external kick-off meetings, requirements gathering and identifies key milestone dates.
  • Owns and manages the program schedule and overall program plan, risk, issues, action items, and decisions (RAID).
  • Proactively manages program deliverable scope and timeline – identifies and minimizes program/launch risks and issues, establishes contingency plans escalates as required to keep stakeholders informed and initiates change process when required.
  • Develops program playbooks and workflows covering all departments impacted or affected by the program.
  • Responsible for managing all budgeting, forecasting and program financials to meet financial expectations as outlined in the program.
  • Responsible for managing program level procurement reporting and visibility.
  • Ensure roles and responsibilities are defined and align to staffing plans.
  • Works with leadership and technical leads to staff and resource the program appropriately.
  • Responsible for ensuring the successful onboarding and offboarding of program resources.
  • Acts as a liaison between program staff and upper management/executives.
  • Creates executive reporting, and delivers the reports to the appropriate executive stakeholders, as defined by the program.
  • Drives stakeholder engagement to ensure appropriate level of communication and decision making for the program.
  • Coaches and mentors the PMs and other team members as needed, to achieve the optimal productivity and highest quality of deliverables.
  • Responsible for end-to-end program delivery and quality.
  • Creates and manages long term goals for the program or portfolio of projects.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years active Program Management experience.
  • PMP certification required.
  • Minimum ten years of Project Management experience. 
  • Salesforce CRM software experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or technology-related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • One to three years prior sales/business development experience is preferred.
  • Experience successfully managing, tracking, and launching multiple large-scale programs at once.
  • Ability to work independently and aggressively track to program timelines.
  • Extensive problem-solving skills, with the fortitude to drive resolutions to a close.
  • Extensive knowledge of service delivery models focused on continuous improvement and adapting to the changing landscape of the service industry.
  • Excellent understanding of the contract process. Able to manage contract modifications, control the impact to a program, and take the lead for negotiations on contract scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain processes is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and aggressively track to program timelines.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Ability to provide examples of go-to-market strategies and programs, with the corresponding impact to revenue contribution,
  • Excellent communication skills.  Must be able to:
    • Listen keenly, to both validate existing hypothesis and uncover new insights
    • Determine when to probe for additional information and when to push forward
    • Deliver clear, compelling, and articulate written and verbal communications
  • Must be an operational and strategic thinker with the ability to execute, and be comfortable with new approaches, testing hypothesis and capable of balancing innovation against known and effective approaches.
  • Strong managerial skills in building cross-functional relationships and the ability to drive organizational direction, obtain agreement on direction and the ability to guide the development of business cases.
