Position Summary

The Managed Services Product Manager is responsible for the strategy, roadmap, cost and pricing for the company’s portfolio of lifecycle/support services. The manager will continuously assess customer, market and competitive insights to define and refine offerings. Service definition from a product, price, place and promotion go-to-market perspective to achieve expected business outcomes, is the primary responsibility. Under the guidance of the Chief Strategy and Solutions Officer and in conjunction with Sales, Marketing and Strategic Alliance Teams, the Product Manager will define the product offering, pricing, SLAs, services scope and execute on the development of those services. 

The ideal candidate will have experience bringing new products/services to market, employing a strategic market-driven lens to activities and have a proven ability to deliver on initiatives that meet the intended business outcomes. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a track record of working collaboratively in an organization to define market-ready service offerings that delivers results. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the product vision and continuous improvement of features and expanding capabilities.
  • Create the product strategy, business requirements and business case that supports product roadmap that is based on market research, persona definition, solution definition, scope (recommended products, services and SLAs), price, status reporting, testing, stakeholder alignment and reporting.
  • Document the key market and business requirements, outcomes and objectives and proactively recommends innovative ideas to address market needs    
  • Actively gather market insights – employing Voice of the Customer, Voice of the Partner, Analyst input, market analytics and drivers
  • Analyzes, monitors and manages portfolio of cost and revenue drivers (top and bottom line), and implements improvements that impact KPIs, financial metrics, SLAs, cost, customer satisfaction and quality.
  • Owns the overall execution and launch of new services and/or enhancements to existing services. Working closely with cross-functional teams on operational and market launch readiness.
  • Understands and engage with key stakeholders cross-functionally to support the portfolio and provide documentation as needed; requirements, service description, definition, SOW, and workflows (covering departments impacted or affected by the program).
  • Work closely with marketing and program stakeholders to create all branded internal and external facing materials in support of the portfolio across digital, customer, sales, and channel enablement. To also include service battle cards and competitive positioning.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert for the company’s portfolio of services Assist in the training and education of new hires on the services portfolio

Job Requirements

  • Three to five years’ experience in product management, preferably in a services company
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering or technology-related field; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of products, architect new services that have a corresponding impact to revenue
  • Highly skilled in excel, the candidate must be an analytical and critical thinker with the ability to analyze multiple data sets, formulate and test hypothesis, make and support critical decisions
  • Excellent communication skills.  Must be able to:
    • listen keenly, to both validate existing hypothesis and uncover new insights
    • deliver clear, compelling, and articulate written and verbal communications
    • create business cases, requirements documentation and technical requirements
