Position Summary

This position is responsible for leading the activities of the company’s corporate IT infrastructure and IT Support functions.  In this capacity, this leader in partnership with business unit leaders, is responsible for the execution and operation of the overall IT function as defined by the technology strategy for the organization.  This role will establish security standards and protocol while ensuring all systems are functional, secure, and compliant.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
  • Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.
  • Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
  • Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and continual evaluation.   Maintaining documentation of network.
  • Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs.
  • Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
  • Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience working with Cisco network equipment.
  • 3+ years’ experience working with Meraki Wi-Fi equipment.
  • 5+ years’ experience implementing and managing network security.
  • Technical certifications that indicate network and systems knowledge.
  • Experience in implementing and managing a corporate telephony/VOIP solution.

  • Strong technical project skills and goal-orientation, with a track record of successful beginning to end execution.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
